Do You Have a Master Plan for Increasing Web Site Traffic?
When I first started out in internet marketing I was like most people and just saw $$$ signs and said “I’ll make a web site that everybody will love and the money will start pouring in. Many months and many failed sites later I wasn’t making quite what I thought I would. I then decided I needed a master plan or strategy to get my business going. My requirements included something I could use immediately that would be inexpensive or free and show results quickly.
After studying much of the online stuff I came upon a FREE “get more traffic action” plan put out by a guy named Jeff Johnson. This was a proven system that Jeff used to generate crazy amounts of free traffic to his websites for quite a few years. The good thing, he was teaching this to other people, and showing them how to do it.
The basic strategies that Jeff was teaching have remained the same since he started but there have been tools developed that can get the job done quicker and easier. And these tools are on a continuously improving track.
What you have to do is gain leverage against the search engines because the increase in marketers is making the competition great. Jeff does a very good job finding tools and strategies to pass on to his clients to help them.
Recently he released the “Traffic-Getting Jumpstart™ Master Plan. When I finished reading about it on his blog I felt that this was a killer plan that would push me over my goals. The greatest thing is that the plan is free and doesn’t even require you to give out your email to access the full step by step plan.
Jeff has given me permission to share this awesome stuff with readers of this site. If you want to, you can get to work immediately after obtaining this plan and increase website traffic today. So click on the link below and grab your free copy.
Google Has Dropped Page Rank
If you are one of the many webmasters that check your page rank in Google Webmaster Tools constantly, you may be in for a big surprise. Recently, Google has made a decision to drop the PageRank data from Webmaster Tools. On the Google Webmaster site an employee has been quoted as saying “We’ve been telling people for a long time that they shouldn’t focus on PageRank so much; many site owners seem to think it’s the most important metric for them to track, which is simply not true. We removed it because we felt it was silly to tell people not to think about it, but then to show them the data, implying that they should look at it.”
Whether this statement is true or not, what are the implications? For people like me when I started out in internet marketing I would check Google pagerank constantly on my sites and the sites I wanted backlinks from. It was my understanding that I needed only backlinks from sites with a PR3 or above, anything lower was not good. So I also assumed that if one of my sites was below PR3 that no one would bother checking it out. Soon I found out though that Google was only doing PR updates a couple of times a year. So for six months or so it wasn’t something I could control. I realized that good and revelant content was more of a factor in increasing traffic than page rank. And I started backlinking from websites that provided the same.
One type of person this will probably be important to would be the gurus that are selling the How to Increase Pagerank courses and eBooks. This will probably put a big dent in their How to Increase Page Rank business as Google has admitted it doesn’t matter.
Also noted though it seems that pagerank is still included in the Google toolbar so if you are one of those people that check Google pagerank then you still have an outlet for your entertainment.

How to Create Your Own Information Product
When someone wants to learn something these days they usually go to the internet . I read recently that Google accounts for like 1/6 of the total traffic on the internet. When people go to Google they are searching for something and many times the results end in these people going to a page that offers an informational product such as an e-book or training course. Have you ever read one of these courses or e-books and thought “Man I could do better than this”.
Many people out there are making thousands or millions of dollars creating and marketing informational products that they wrote. These people probably made the statement above and then went out and created the product. But what if you could do it but have no idea on how to get started with developing or creating this product?
Well get a few minutes of spare time, grab a cup of coffee and sit down and listen to the free videos Jeff Johnson is offering entitled How To Quickly and Easily Create Your Very Own Highly Profitable Info Product In these videos Jeff tells us how he started from scratch with one of his students and built a highly profitable product.
The story is he hosted a private seminar for his clients where dozens of people paid $10,000 to attend a three day event. Out of this three day event he produced a one and a half hour 11 part “Product Creation and Product Promotion” video tutorial and he is sharing it with us for free. This tutorial is like a good book where you won’t want to set it down until you are done. Hence the cup of coffee and spare time. Using Viral Marketing Campaigns to Increase Traffic to Your Website
One thing that is needed by any company or individual that wants to make it in this internet marketing business and that is the ability to use all forms of content and media to promote their sites. It doesn’t matter if you have the best designed website or the greatest product since sliced bread if you don’t have a presence in the search engines you will die a slow death. The solution to getting that presence is traffic and lots of it. One of the best ways to increase traffic to your website is through viral marketing campaigns.
While the term viral or virus conjures up images of using phantom code and other nasty things to promote our business that is not what viral marketing is. Viral marketing and viral marketing strategies are techniques that companies use to build awareness of their product or company. In other words, using different forms of media to get in front of the public, without actually promoting your product. You primarily hook a person on what you are promoting or selling by using things like video and having them pass it on. Since your company or product is being advertised with this media it in turn is put in front of whoever is exposed to it. See where the virus comes in? If somebody likes the content they will pass it on to someone else who passes it to someone else just like a cold or flu virus.
Viral marketing is low cost and can include funny videos, stories, or maybe a cool flash game. Whatever the media, your brand or logo will be included. What you want to get is lots of publicity and awareness from the public of your site. It will increase traffic to your website and increase leads which turn into sales. Most of the big companies as well as the top internet marketers are using viral marketing campaigns to increase website traffic and promote product awareness so it is essential that you use it too.
Jeff Johnson has produced a very good tutorial concerning viral marketing and its advantages. He teaches you how to get started and what sites to target as well as steps to eliminate some of the time crunching work. Using Microblogging to Increase Web Site Traffic

Do you spend all day on Twitter and have nothing to show for it? Twitter can be a time consuming as well as time wasting activity especially when all you are doing is telling someone where you are going or what you are doing. Did you realize that when you are tweeting someone you are actually blogging or in the sense of the word microblogging. Why not use microblogging platforms just like you use a regular blog to highlight a product or service?
Wikipedia describes microblogging as “a form of multimedia blogging that allows users to send brief text updates or micromedia such as photos or audio clips and publish them, either to be viewed by anyone or by a restricted group which can be chosen by the user.” Kind of sounds like a blog doesn’t it? After all our blogs have photos, audio clips, and text. They are published to viewers of our blog and we can restrict who we want to see them.
The advantage of microblog platforms such as Twitter is we don’t have to work with code or widgets, headers, and other such stuff that takes away time from our busy days. We can just log in and tweet away @ 140 characters per tweet. But we really need to get back to the subject of this post and it is using microblogging to increase website traffic. Basically, we are looking at how we can use Twitter to drive traffic to our regular blogs and sites.
One way to increase your web site traffic through microblogging and twitter in particular is the quite simple way of adding a link in the tweet back to your website. You basically use the tweet to create a headline then at the end put the link. When doing this all your followers that are interested in the headline just click and they go to your site. I would recommend that you use a shortening service such as Bit.ly so you can optimize the 140 characters you have available. Twitter will shorten your link for you but Bit.ly has the advantage of shortening it more, plus it tracks how many people actually click on the link.
Another way to increase your website traffic using Twitter is utilizing the WP-Twitter Plug In. This plug in will create and broadcast a tweet every time you update or make a new post to your blog. It is very easy to install and saves you from manually going to twitter and typing in the title of your post and link. And to make your life easier you can go to social media sites such as Facebook and Friendster and use their twitter applications to have your tweets post on your front page. With those tools now all you have to do is post on your blog which in turn sends out a tweet, which in turn hits your Facebook, Friendster or other social sites automatically. If you have thousands of users on those sites they will now see what you are posting and can click on the link.
If this all sounds exciting and you want the website traffic, it all comes down to using the tools and having the followers. You may have your ways of getting your followers but remember the more followers you have the more traffic that is possible to your blog or website. I use a very inexpensive set of tools called Twitter Traffic Machine to build my list of followers. These followers are not just a bunch of people not interested in what I’m saying but free web site traffic that is also targeted website traffic. If you are interested, just click on the link in the previous sentence.
One difference between just microblogging and regular blogging is the ability in regular blogging to monetize your website. You can put ads on your blog and make money or even earn a good living doing it. If you are just using twitter and don’t have a blog you now have a chance to monetize your tweets.
