It is advised that you should have a plan when posting on forums so you don’t waste your time when there. Below are some helpful tips you should apply when posting on forums.
1. Make sure the content on the forums are relevant to your niche and web site. If not, you won’t attract many visitors to your site. For example, if your niche is digital cameras don’t waste your time on a paintball forum.
2. Set yourself a clear target number of forum posts to do in a certain amount of time and spread it out between more than one or two forums. Try to average five posts a day on three or four forums and don’t spend more than one hour doing this.
3. Make sure once again that the forum posts are good relevant information and not just one liners. Your reputation is on the line so you want to represent yourself and your website well.
4. When responding on a forum thread you can use your posts to start a thread on another forum or use it as a reply on another forum BUT change the wording around to make it more original or you will be labeled as someone just getting on forums to obtain back links.
5. If posting to forums ever becomes so time consuming that it takes away from more important things you may want to look into outsourcing your posting.
